Ampelio is a blend of Alicante, Ciliegiolo, and Sangiovese, aged in French oak barriques. This wine reflects the diversity of the Montalcino terroir, with an intense bouquet of Mediterranean flowers and spices, and a fragrant and spicy flavor that evokes the richness of the Tuscan countryside. The name Ampelio was chosen in memory of an old farmer friend, whose hands moved as he tended his vineyard like those of an artist, in an exquisite blend of grace and necessity.
