Dedication, authenticity, and continuous pursuit of excellence in the footsteps of tradition

La Torre farm was founded in 1976 by Giuseppe Ananìa, who purchased La Torre estate from a family in Montalcino. Today, it is passionately run by his son Luigi and granddaughter Benedetta.

La Torre is the guardian of a story that combines tradition and innovation.

Respect for the land and a love for the craft are reflected in every step of the production process, from the manual selection of the grapes to bottling. Our wines, Brunello di Montalcino, Rosso di Montalcino, Ampelio Toscana IGT Rosso, and, in select vintages, Brunello di Montalcino Riserva, tell a story of dedication, authenticity, and constant pursuit of excellence.

The company philosophy has deep roots in the ancient knowledge of local growers and in scientific skills gained through study and experimentation. La Torre is 'traditional but not conservative': time-honored practices are complemented by advanced agronomic techniques and a modern vision of environmental sustainability.

Starting with the 2016 vintage, all three wines are certified organic, as noted on the back label with a special inscription and leaf symbol.

The Story of La Torre Estate

Story by Luigi Ananìa

La Torre estate was founded in 1976 by Giuseppe Ananìa, who purchased La Torre property from a family in Montalcino. Until just a few years prior, La Torre was a sharecropping farm with livestock, cherry trees, wheat crops, and mixed olive and vineyard cultivation.

The Legend of La Torre

Story by Luigi Ananìa

When I arrived there with my father, the local farmers described the Podere La Torre as a hillside known for its vipers, mushrooms, olive oil, and fragrant wine. At the top of the hill was a large stone farmhouse, and around it a thicket of brambles, broom, and holm oaks.
